2024 Calendar of Events
The fourth annual Art Seen Festival will be June 1-2, 2024. We are so excited to be bringing back our community mural concept, where YOU can paint with us! We set it up like a giant paint-by-number, so people of all ages an abilities can be part of the fun! We can’t wait to bring three new murals to the community this summer.
This year’s community mural will be created on panels for Pizza Sam’s, which will be installed on the Ashman St. side of their building upon completion (102 West Main Street). Community painting during the festival will take place on McDonald St, between Larkin and Main. Our festival is the same weekend as Midland Center for the Arts’ Summer Art Fair, so we’ll be right in the mix Downtown!
You can watch the two commissioned murals unfold as they’re being created the same weekend at LaLonde’s Market (4007 North Jefferson Avenue) and Lee Bar & Grill (430 West Isabella Road)!
We are also pleased to have the return of musical performances by a variety of talented local musicians on Saturday and Sunday evenings, presented by The Blue Light Music Venue.

Art Seen Festival seeks to strengthen our Midland County, Michigan, community through vibrant mural making and live performances. Accessible public art is a meaningful way to connect people to feel seen, heard, and included.
Art inspires us and propels us forward while bringing voice to diverse experiences, and people. Art is a catalyst for belonging, and supports a community where all people have the opportunity to thrive.
Public Arts Midland, an initiative of the Midland Area Community Foundation, has been the bridge to help link the Art Seen Festival together with Midland Center for the Arts’ Summer Art Fair, and Creative 360’s Art Speaks Playwright Festival to bring people together in one incredible art-filled weekend.
